Feature Codes List

The following feature codes are available in the GreenLink Networks’ system.

There are multiple options by which the feature codes may be activated. A few features may be managed via the customer portal and/or via the onscreen options on some phone models. This guide is a shortcut guide by which a user may activate the features via * (asterisk) and a number code.

Please note that not all features will be active in your specific setup. The feature's availability depends on whether or not the specific phone model(s) support the feature functionality and whether or not the feature is included in the GreenLink service plan selected. If a feature is not working, verify with your phone administrator that it has been configured. The section below describes the default behavior.

To active a feature, enter the * (asterisk) followed by the feature code and the extension, if required, on your GreenLink phone.

CODE NAME DESCRIPTION | ACTION
*70[NUM]  Park the call to [NUM]  Allows a user to park an active call directly. In this case, the park line is a permanently assigned number selected by the company administrator. While on an active call, the user parks the call by initiating a Transfer, dialing the code, and the specific line number (ex’s: 700, 701, … 709). To un-park the call, any user can dial the corresponding park line number from their phone.
*71   Say Parked Calls The system will provide information regarding currently parked calls.
*72[NUM]  Call Forward All -
Activate
Allows a user to forward all calls by entering the feature code followed by the number to which all calls should be forwarded.
*73  Call Forward All -
Deactivate
Allows a user to deactivate call forwarding.
*78  DND Activate Allows a user to activate the "Do Not Disturb" for their extension.
*79  DND Deactivate Allows a user to deactivate "Do Not Disturb."
*8  General Pickup  Allows a user to pick up an incoming call on any phone without dialing a specific extension.
*80[EXT]  Intercom Allows a user to page an extension and speak to the other user via the phone’s speaker. The phone does not ring. This is achieved by dialing the feature code followed by the extension number. (Note: If the extension dialed is a softphone extension, the softphone rings, and the user has to “pick up” the call).
*97  Voicemail  Allows a user to check voicemail from the corresponding GreenLink extension by dialing the feature code and entering the voicemail password when prompted.
*98[NUM]  Voicemail for [NUM]  Allows a user to check the voicemail for another user using the feature code followed by the corresponding extension.
*[EXT]  Direct Voicemail  Allows a user to send an active call directly to another user’s voicemail. This is done by initiating a Transfer, dialing the feature code, then the extension, and completing the Transfer.
#1  Start recording while on call  This feature functions as a default setting that allows users to start recording calls by dialing #1 while on an active call.
#0  Stop recording while on call  This feature functions as a default setting that allows users to stop recording calls by dialing #0 while on an active call.
CODE NAME DESCRIPTION | ACTION
**[NUM] Call Pick Up Allows a user to pick up and answer a call actively ringing at another user’s extension by dialing the feature code followed by the extension number.
*55[EXT] Silent Call Barging Allows a user to listen in on another user’s active call by dialing the feature code followed by the extension number in which the call is active.
*56[EXT]  Silent Call Barging -
Speak
Allows a user to listen in on another user’s active call and speak to that user. The caller does not hear the comments. This feature is activated by dialing the feature code followed by the extension number in which the call is active. (Ex: A trainer helps a trainee assist a customer by providing advice & assistance while on the call).
*60  Date and Time Allows a user to verify the current date and time.
*611  GreenLink Allows a user to reach GreenLink Networks Help Desk directly from any active GreenLink phone.
*7  Park the call Allows a user to park an active call. The system automatically assigns a parked line, and the user will hear a recording indicating the park line number in use (ex: 700). While on an active call, the user parks the call by initiating a Transfer, dialing the feature code, pressing “SEND” or “#,” and completing the Transfer after the system has indicated where the call was parked. To un-park the call, any user can dial the corresponding park line number from their phone.

Note:
Even though the Call Forwarding and Do Not Disturb functions can be activated within the phone's individual programming via onscreen options and buttons, it may be more beneficial for users to use the feature code shortcuts. Because these * codes operate at the phone system level, if the phone were to be disconnected from the network or if the phone's site was to lose power, Call Forwarding and Do Not Disturb would continue to function. That would not be the case if a user were to activate them via the on-screen options. The on-screen method is dependent on the phone being operational.
