Phone Guide: Muting/Unmuting Audio

A guide on how to manage the different muting options of your Yealink phone.

Muting/Unmuting Audio

When you are in a call, you can mute the audio, so that you can hear the other person, but they cannot hear you.

Procedure

  1. Press the MUTE key ( ) during a call. (The mute key LED glows red.)
  2. Press the MUTE key ( ) again to unmute the call.

Tip: You can also mute the microphone while the phone is dialing or ringing so that the other party cannot hear you when the
call is set up.

Keep Mute

The mute state of your phone persists across calls. The phone stays in the mute state until you unmute the microphone manually or until the phone restarts.

Procedure

1. Press the MUTE key () when the phone is idle. The mute icon appears on the idle screen.

2. Press the MUTE key () again to deactivate the mute state.

Note: Check with your system administrator if keep mute is configured on your phone.
