What to check if you are not able to make calls and are experiencing call-related issues?

A Quick Guide: What to Check If You Experience Call Issues

VoIP technology, like any other, may encounter occasional issues.

If you experience problems with your calls while using your GreenLink phone or softphone, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to help resolve the issue or identify the fastest path to a solution.

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Verify your internet connection.
  2. Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the back of your VoIP phone.
  3. Confirm your VoIP phone is properly connected to a power outlet.
  4. If you are using the mobility suite, make sure your device has a strong signal.
  5. Ensure you have the latest version of the softphone application installed.
  6. If the mobile app is not registering, disconnect from Wi-Fi and try using your cellular network.
  7. Check that your phone’s Do Not Disturb (DND) feature is not enabled.
  8. Check for a dial tone—are you able to make inbound or outbound calls?
  9. Ensure the phone’s ringer volume is turned up.

If the issue persists after attempting some of these, go ahead and submit a ticket for support at help@greenlinknetworks.com, and our team can assist you with additional troubleshooting.
